High school student ‘war’ nipped in bud

BASEBALL BATS were confiscated from a 16-year-old male seen getting out of a motor vehicle in possession of three bats on Friday afternoon.

Police had been patrolling Oakhill Shopping Centre when they received information that rival high schools were planning to take part in a brawl at the location.

About 20 high school students, dressed in school uniform, were seen loitering in the area.

When police saw the 16-year-old attempt to hide the baseball bats by returning them to the vehicle, they approached the male and his mother, who was driving the vehicle.

The bats were taken and the group of students were moved from the area without further incident.

A MAN was spotted masturbating in the driver’s seat of a car by a 23-year-old woman who was walking through the West Ryde railway station carpark on October 23 around 8.30pm.

As the victim walked past the white coloured utility, the driver’s door was open and the male person spoke to the victim.

The victim took out her mobile phone and called ‘000’. The man immediately drove from the area along Ryedale Road. He is described as Caucasian, 25 years old, slim build, dark brown curly hair wearing a white t-shirt.
